Wii Fit

The Wii Fit bundle is a combination of a Wii "game" and a special weight-sensing board controller (the Wii Balance Board).  As the name suggests, this game is all about physical fitness.

The balance board can sense how you are standing on it and if you are leaning in different directions or shifting your balance around.  This seems pretty simple but really opens up a wide range of interesting simulations from yoga to snowboarding.

Wii Fit itself is divided into 5 sections.  In the first section, Body Test, it measures your weight, B.M.I. (body mass index), and how good you are at controlling your balance.  This body testing is something you'll do frequently in Wii Fit, and it gives lots of encouragement and tips at improving your balance, posture, and BMI.

The second section is a series of yoga exercises for improving your balance and flexibility.  The balance board is used to give you feedback on the movements you're doing and is great for helping you do your best.

The third section is strength exercises which complement the yoga exercises to improve your core muscle groups and make you stronger.

The fourth section of Wii Fit is aerobic exercises like (virtual) hula-hooping, step aerobic, and rhythm boxing that will burn calories and give toy a good cardio workout and improve your coordination.

The fifth and final section is a series of really fun games that used the Wii Balance Board, such as snowboarding, marble rolling, soccer ball heading, and so on.  These games complement all the other sections and you'll find your scores improving as you perform the yoga and strength exercises.
